The Academy of Management appears to be ahead of the curve when it comes to women in leadership positions:

• AOM’s current president is Jacqueline A-M. Coyle-Shapiro. President-elect is Quinetta M. Roberson.

• The last four AOM presidents were women. Since 1999, 11 of the 21 presidents were women. (The first woman was elected AOM president in 1979.)

• Four of the five current Executive Committee Members of the Board are women. Six of the nine current Board of Governors representatives-at-large are women.
